Finish your yearbook plans before school even starts by attending a summer workshop, and take time to let your students get to know one another for an even smoother transition into the new school year.
Attending our workshop will put you amazingly far ahead. We will motivate staffs to create the theme and develop the ladder as well as begin working on design templates for the entire book.
For the 10th year, our workshop will be held at the University of Richmond, a private liberal arts university founded in 1830. It is located on a 350-acre suburban campus in the state's capitol.
For a break and a few laughs, join our competitive games announced throughout the day. For this game, participants had to get as many "steps" as possible with the pedometers on their heads!
Join our new yearbookers, single day workshop that focuses on the basic skills and processes necessary to get a jump start on your first yearbook. If you choose, stay additional days to learn more.
Form a team and join our photo / video scavenger hunt competition, which takes place over the course of the workshop. Each member of the winning team wins an iTunes gift card.
Yearbooks planned at summer workshops most often have better coverage and potentially greater sales. Once school starts, the staff can focus on coverage and include more students in the book. Students are more likely to purchase books if they know they are in it.
Post your progress for all to see in our main session room. As a staff, you will vote for your three favorite theme packages. The Grand Prize Winner of the People’s Choice Awards will take home the first place trophy and a scholarship!
The yearbook staff of C.D. Hylton High School in Woodbridge, Virginia won first place in 2018.
